Students frequently intern at Bank of America, Ford Motor Company, and Siemens. The DECA business club is another great way for students to get involved. The Summer Business Programs offered at two universities in France give students the opportunity to explore business from a new perspective. Students can also spend a full semester or year abroad or complete an international internship. The Queens Pitch Competition lets students show off their innovative business concepts for prizes up to $5,000.
Online Programs
The Master of Business Administration can be completed fully online or in a hybrid format. This program features the same award-winning faculty and curriculum as the on-campus program. Students can complete the leadership-focused MBA within two years, or work at a slower pace to maintain the right work/study balance for them. Unique features of the program include one-on-one executive coaching, network opportunities with the Executives in Residence, and a Leadership Development Course. In the Leadership course, students will hone in on their skills through an outdoor expedition and debates. Case studies and consulting projects are also part of their learning experience. Beyond the required core courses, students may select a concentration in Leadership and Change, Healthcare Management, Finance, or Executive Coaching. Of MBA alumni surveyed, 48% received a 10% or greater raise within one year of completing their degree, and 100% of those seeking a career change felt prepared.
The MSOD offers students the same leadership training, as well as the chance to select three electives. Some of the electives offered include the Coaching Practicum, Creative Connections, Management Consulting, International Experience, and Capstone Practicum in Organization Development. The Executive Leadership Institute also offers a professional Certified Financial Planning certificate, the TWIST Women’s Leadership Conference, and the School Executive Leadership Institute.
