The AACSB accredited College of Business at Ohio University has come to be known as one of the best business schools in the world. The COB consistently receives high rankings by top publications. Ohio’s COB has been recognized repeatedly by U.S. News and World Report on its list of the Best Business Schools. Bloomberg Businessweek also ranks the COB 38th among all business schools and 15th among public business schools. 

Education

Bachelor’s degrees are offered through the COB in the areas of Accounting, Business Analytics, Business Economics, Business Pre-law, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Management and Strategic Leadership, Marketing, Management Information Systems, and Sport Management. At the graduate level, Professional Master’s degrees are offered in Accountancy, Athletic Administration, Business Analytics, Sports Administration, and a Master’s of Business Administration. MBA students can select a concentration in Accounting, Business Analytics, Executive Management, Finance, Health Care, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Strategic Selling and Sales Leadership, and Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship. Student Life

Freshman students can build meaningful relationships through involvement in a business learning community. The “Bobcat Business!” and Pre-Sport Management communities plan a packed year of out-of-class experiences. Upperclassmen can join the Business Bobcats Ambassadors program to share their love of COB with potential students. It is also considered an honor for students to be selected as SOX Fellows. The SOX Fellows program conducts an audit of the Ohio University Foundation and all student organizations that receive EAB funding. The Derivatives Management Group, Fixed Income Management Group, and the Student Equity Management Group give students the power to manage University funds through investing. The Sheys Sales Center provides students interested in becoming sales professionals with 500 hours of sales training, as well as internship opportunities, and exclusive recruiting events. The Select Leaders club travels cross-country meeting prominent business leaders, and executing their leadership skills on campus for younger students. There are numerous other business student organizations from book clubs to competition teams. Students can also travel to France, Spain, or Hungary to complete global consulting projects, work for a Fortune 500 company on an 8-12 week assignment, or spend a full semester or year at an international partner institution.

Online Programs

Ohio University offers five associate degree programs and 10 bachelor degree programs online. The University offers a multitude of fully online Graduate programs and many with a small hybrid component. The College of Business offers fully online Graduate programs in Accountancy, Business Analytics, and Sports Administration. Masters degrees with at least one in-person requirement include the MBA, Accountancy and Professional MBA. Online Certificates available include Business Analytics, Business Venturing & Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources Management, Management and Leadership, Supply Chain and Operations Management, and Strategic Sales and Sales Leadership.
