Student Life

After classes, a popular place for business students to hang out is the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. In 2019, this newly built space opened its doors to serve as a hub for business student organizations, offer start-up support, and host networking events, lecture series, mentoring programs, and workshops. Students can win up to $6,000 competing in the Iona Innovation Challenge by submitting a one-minute video pitch, executive summary, and pitching their slide deck. Another opportunity for students to present research is the Iona Scholars Day. The Advancing Ethical and Moral Leadership Lecture Series gives students a chance to sit back and soak in some speeches from some of the brightest scholars in the business world. Career Development events, such as Effective Resume Writing and MBA panels, offer advice for every step of your career journey from freshman to graduate school.
