Clayton State University’s College of Business is AACSB-accredited and aims to produce quality, innovative, excellent, affordable, and rigorous degree programs. They desire to prepare students to perform under pressure, lead with confidence, think analytically, make strategic decisions, be globally minded, and positively impact their organizations. The faculty members are experienced researchers, dedicated, and academically qualified to set students up for success in the competitive business marketplace.

Education

Undergraduate students can pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in General Business, Marketing, Accounting, Management, or Supply Chain Management. Graduate students can earn a Masters in Supply Chain Analytics, Strategic Leadership Development, or Business Administration. The MBA can be completed in just 12 months and has six MBA concentrations, including Digital Marketing, Human Resource Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, General Business, and International Business. It can also be personally structured in a way that fits best for the student. There are three Post-Graduate Certificates available in Supply Chain Management, Human Resources Leadership, and International Business.

To better understand the challenges a different culture faces, add sparkle to the resume, and experience life-changing moments, business students can take part in a study abroad program. They can immerse themselves in Greece to learn about the economic crisis and what businesses came out of that, or they can travel to Holland to learn about global business.

The College of Business provides a variety of financial aid options for their students including the College of Business Scholarships, Beta Gamma Sigma Scholar Award, Service and Leadership Awards, and the Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Student Life

Engage with other students, have fun, and gain experiential learning opportunities through participation in student organizations like the Accounting Club, Student Supply Chain Roundtable, Society for Human Resources Management, APICS, Marketing Club, Beta Gamma Sigma, Financial Executives International, Society for the Advancement of Management, and the Financial Management Association.

Many more ways exist to add value to a resume. Internships with credible businesses give students incredible real-world experience and is a requirement to graduate. The CoB offers numerous networking events to provide students opportunities to connect with local business executives and industry leaders. Also, the Speaker Series brings in successful leaders in business to share the inside scoop. The Major Mentors Program provides a peer mentor within the CoB who can assist with academic needs. There is also the Dress for Success informational that provides guidelines for how to appropriately dress like a professional. The Business Research Centers present priceless opportunities for students and the community to gain knowledge and experience. These centers include the Center for Entrepreneurship, Center for Supply Chain Management, Center for Research on Economic Sustainability & Trends, the Small Business Development Center, and the Center for Business and International Negotiation.

Online Programs

The College of Business offers a trio of graduate degrees entirely online. These include the Masters in Business Administration, with all six concentrations, the Masters in Supply Chain Analytics, and the Masters in Strategic Leadership Development.
