Barry University has an alumni network of over 60,000 graduates worldwide. In 2018 they were recognized among the top schools in the nation for their care towards members of the military. This respect for military members and their families can be found throughout the campus and its many programs. Instructors at Barry are top-notch. In fact, over 90 percent of full-time faculty hold a doctoral degree or the highest degree in their field. Barry graduates are among the top 10 percent of salary earners in Florida’s 28 private, not-for-profit educational institutions, according to the Florida Department of Education.

Education

The on-campus students can earn their Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with majors in Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management, or Marketing. A Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Sport Management can also be obtained. Barry University’s location gives access to many local sports internship and job opportunities. An MBA, MS in Accounting, MS Sport Management, or Sport Management/MBA are graduate level options offered each semester. Dual and double degrees are offered as well. Dual degrees include Podiatric Medicine/MBA, Sport Management, MS/MBA, and Sport Psychology, MS/MBA. The double degree option is a truly unique program that allows Barry students to earn their MBA, as well as an MBA or business-related degree from institutions abroad.

Student Life

Barry University is located in Miami, Florida. This location not only puts students close to the beach but also allows networking and relationship building in a culturally diverse city and campus. There are over 60 student organizations to choose from, making it easy for business students to find peers within their niche. Outside of student clubs, there are also honors society, art and cultural groups, and Greek organizations. The Center for Community Service Initiatives provides opportunities for involvement and volunteer work both within the community and on campus. The School of Professional and Career Education includes a variety of programs designed with working adult learners in mind. PACE courses are delivered in 7 or 8 week-long terms with evening, weekend, or online meeting requirements.

Online Programs

Andreas School of Business students have an opportunity to earn both bachelor’s and master’s degrees online. Distance learners looking to complete their undergraduate degree may choose from a Bachelor’s of Public Administration, Bachelor’s of Science in Administration, Bachelor’s of Science in Emergency Management, or Bachelor’s of Science in Health Services Management. Master’s offerings include an MBA with concentrations in International Business, Management, Marketing, or Health Services Administration. All options can be completed in as little as one year and cost less than $20,000. Application requirements for graduate students include a completed bachelor’s degree, professional resume with two references, statement of purpose, and official transcripts. GMAT scores may be waived for those with a 3.0 undergraduate degree and more than two years of professional work experience.
