The University of San Diego is a Catholic institution with a commitment to “advancing academic excellence, expanding liberal and professional knowledge, creating a diverse and inclusive community and preparing leaders who are dedicated to ethical conduct and compassionate service.” This service-oriented mindset leads to many opportunities for community and campus involvement, such as the Romero Immersion Program, Students for Life, local opportunities with businesses and non-profit organizations, and Catholic Social Thoughts.

Student Life

The USD Campus sits on 180 beautiful acres that are just a short drive from mountains, beaches, and downtown San Diego. 95% of Freshmen live on campus, making it easy for new students to meet and make new friends as they settle into campus life. The Student Life Pavilion offers many student activities, dining options, and a full-service market. Many universities offer Living and Learning Communities for incoming Freshman, but the University of San Diego takes another step with their learning communities for transfer students. Just like the traditional model, this program allows new students who transfer from other colleges and universities to have a built-in community, special engagement activities, and extended academic support.

Online Programs

A Master’s of Cybersecurity Operations and Leadership can be completed online in 20 months. This degree is a good fit for individuals with technology or cybersecurity experience, those in government, military, law enforcement, or private business sectors, and professionals with a background in information systems, computer science, or information technology. Courses are seven weeks in length and include a comprehensive list of topics like Secure Systems Architecture, Management and Cyber Security, Cyber Intelligence, and Applied Cryptography.

Participants will also gain life-long problem-solving skills, exceptional leadership skills as they pertain to the realm of cybersecurity environments, as well as the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders. The online MCOL helps students attain the same high-quality degree as the traditional on-campus program but with the flexibility to accommodate personal responsibilities. GMAT/GRE/LSAT scores may be submitted to strengthen the application process but are not required as admission is looked at on a holistic basis.
