John Carroll University’s location near Cleveland Ohio gives Boler College of Business Students convenient access to many prestigious companies and organizations. In fact, current graduate students, University faculty, and graduate alumni are all significant contributors to the regional economy of NorthEast Ohio. Boler is represented through Bedrock Fortune 500 companies like Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., JM Smuckers Co., TravelCenters of America, and many more. In Cleveland alone, there are more than 700 biotechnology and biomedical companies and eight Fortune 1000 company headquarters. Career opportunities are within reach for a variety of fields ranging from technology, transportation, health care, life sciences, manufacturing, banking, and multinational corporations.

Education
All of the undergraduate business programs delivered through the Boler College of Business begin with an Integrated Core Curriculum. This includes academic coursework like Business Communications, Data-Driven Decision Making, and Applied Calculus. Additionally, students complete a professional development program that builds from freshman to senior year. Relevant topics for career readiness include interview skills, networking basics, and an internship component. After the core content is complete, students can choose from top majors such as Marketing, Economics, Finance, or Supply Chain Management. Minors can also be obtained in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or Leadership Development.
Graduate students can complete their MBA, MS in Accountancy, or MS in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The Master’s of Business Administration has two tracks and can either be completed on a part-time basis for those with a minimum of two years of work experience or a full-time basis for recent graduates.

Student Life
Nearly 75% of John Carroll University students participate in a sport, organization, or club. There are over 100 student organizations to choose from with options like Alpha Kappa Psi, International Business with Language and Culture Association, and American Marketing Society. Many leadership opportunities are also available through a Leadership Development minor, the Leadership Scholars Programs, a Leadership Formation series, and more.
The Johnson Natatorium and Corbo Fitness Center provide a hub for exercising and building relationships with peers. Students can also participate in intramural sports, athletic teams, or student-led sports clubs. Being involved both on-campus and in the community is an important value for the University. Because of this, there are many service opportunities available through the Center for Social Service and Action. The Center sponsors more than 120 weekly service activities throughout the Cleveland area each semester. They also put students in touch with internship and employment opportunities.
