The College of Business, Engineering, and Technology at Daytona State College strives to provide an engaging educational experience. With the hope of leading to certificates and degrees that meet the needs of diverse students and create partnerships within the community. The Bachelor’s programs have been named the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs by U.S. News and World Report and ranked as the nation’s most affordable programs by DSC. Above all, the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology endeavors to prepare students for a future career in the business industry.

Education

The College of Business, Engineering, and Technology houses many schools with varying degrees. These schools include the School of Engineering Technology, School of Computer Science, School of Building and Architectural Technology, School of Business Administration, and Mori Hosseini College of Hospitality and Culinary Management.

The School of Business Administration offers a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management degree through a four-year program, as well as many Associate Degree options. Some of the Associate Degrees offered are in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Business Operations, Industrial Management Technology, Office Administration, Office Management, and an Office Support technical certificate.

Daytona State also offers Study Abroad programs for their students. Last years options included Selected Topics in Management – International Management, a Capstone Project in Supervision and Management in Ireland.

Student Life

Student Life on the Daytona State College campus provides students a wide array of options for student involvement and building relationships that enhance the education experience. A variety of club and organizations are available for membership including volunteer, religious, sports/hobbies and pedagogical, including a Business Club.

After celebrating Daytona State College’s 60th anniversary in 2017, the College has continued to host a Homecoming Festival each fall. Alumni, friends, and family of Daytona students gather at the campus for a series of events including Mr. and Ms. Daytona State College Pageant, alumni awards recognition, 5K walk/run, Car, Truck and Bike Show, Tailgate Party, and athletic home games. Falcon Pride is an ongoing celebration during the series of fun events that create community among students.

Online Programs

The BAS in Supervision and Management offered through the School of Business Administration is a 2+2 program that requires students to have an associate degree before entering the program. The degree program was created for non-traditional students in the community with a flexible schedule design that offers completely online courses or half online/half face-to-face and hybrid courses. This degree can prepare you for higher-level management work and supervisory opportunities. The BAS in Supervision and Management is also offered with a Hospitality Concentration online. Bachelors Degrees in Engineering Technology and Information Technology are also offered online through the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology. The college also offers many certificate programs online including, Accounting Technology Management, Accounting Technology Operations with Tax Preparation Option, Office Management, Office Support-Technical, and Project Management.
