Auburn University at Montgomery offers undergraduate and graduate degrees with elite accreditation through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The College of Business, along with the University, offers over $160,000 in scholarships throughout the school year. These awards are available to students of all levels and backgrounds. Specific scholarship opportunities are available for each department in addition to general undergraduate and graduate recipients. These departments include Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Information Systems, and Management.

Education

The College of Business includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration program with specializations in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Information Systems, International Business, Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Marketing. While all of the programs within the CoB hold AACSB accreditation, Auburn Montgomery’s School of Accountancy is the only separately AACSB accredited accounting program in the River Region or Montgomery and ranks among the highest of all business AACSB accredited programs in the world. On-campus master’s degree options include MBA, Master’s of Healthcare Administration, MAcc, and M.S. Management Information Systems. Several of the graduate programs are also available in a complete distance format.

Student Life

Students at AUM have many career resources at their disposal to help them become truly successful in the field of business. The Office of Student Engagement and success includes a variety of programs that help set Auburn’s students apart. This office works diligently to assist students with coordinating internship opportunities, setting up a career timeline, job searches, and more. A unique program that is available specifically to College of Business students is the Clothing Closet. A professional appearance is an important part of any job search. The Clothing Closet allows students to borrow career-ready attire for the purposes of career fairs, job or internship interviews, and professional networking or conference events. There are also many clubs and organizations geared towards the College of Business, such as the UAM Investment Club, Entrepreneurship Club, Marketing Club, and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Online Programs

The online MBA program at Auburn University at Montgomery is a 10-course program designed on a one-year time frame. While the degree can be completed quickly, students also have the flexibility to adjust their course load as needed each semester to meet their unique needs. Prerequisite courses in Financial Accounting, Statistics, Principles/Survey Marketing, Principles/Survey Management, and Principles/Survey Finance are required for those whose undergraduate degree is not in business. A few of the classes that all online MBA students complete are Marketing Management, Information Resource Management, Financial Valuation: Models and Application, and Managing People. Undergraduate GPA, work experience, and GMAT scores are all compiled as a part of the application process for this program.
