Founded in 1899 with a bequest by John Simmons, a wealthy clothing manufacturer in Boston, Simmons College is a private 4-year women’s undergraduate (and co-ed graduate) school and is a member of the Colleges of the Fenway with 5 other schools. The two campuses (separated by part of Emmanuel College campus) are residential and academic, each focused around a semi-private quad. Notable alumni include NBC News Correspondent Rehema Ellis.
