William & Mary was founded in 1693 and is the second oldest institution of higher education in the United States. This public Ivy has a lot to be proud of. The Raymond A. Mason School of Business ranks 3rd in the category of Best Business Schools: Best Professors by The Princeton Review as of 2019. The Master of Business Administration program has also drawn a significant amount of attention as one of the most elite programs in the nation. Bloomberg Businessweek and Forbes rank Mason School of Business among the top 50 Best Business Schools: MBA.

Education

Students in the undergraduate business program receive an education personally tailored to serve their individual ambitions. The unique Individual Program of Study allows students the freedom to select a major in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Analytics, and further concentrate their studies with coursework in Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Design Thinking, Management and Organizational Leadership, Marketing, or Process Management and Consulting. From there, students have the option of adding an International Emphasis, which consists of studying abroad during the spring semester of their junior year. Students can also complete a Global Business minor by participating in the 12-week summer experience, which features eight weeks of courses at an international host university. In 2019, students studied in Dublin.

The Master of Business Administration program has formats to fit the diversity of the students, including a Full-Time, Flex Part-time, and Executive option. The Full-time program is 22 months and includes leadership coaching and mentorship to help students explore their business potential. The Flex Part-time program accommodates working students by offering night courses. The Executive program is designed for seasoned professionals and meets two weekends per month, as well as two global experiences. Other graduate programs offered include a Master of Accounting or Master of Science in Business Analytics.

Student Life

Students can bring their business education to life with internships, research opportunities, and organizations. The Howard J. Busbee Finance Academy trains students to use Bloomberg business technology, it holds networking events with current students and alumni in New York, and it provides professional mentoring. The Mason Investment Club is fully student-ran, and currently has a portfolio over $20,000. Smart Women Securities educates female students on gaining financial security through a 10-week seminar series with hands-on investment experience. Students can become Certified Innovation Facilitators through the Tribe Innovation club, and serve the community by working on client projects.

Online Programs

Students can grow professionally by earning an online Master of Business Administration or Master of Science in Business Analytics. The 49-credit hour online MBA kicks off with a phenomenal residency as a Renaissance Manager. Students will attend dynamic break-out sessions, networking events, and meals featuring guest speakers. This is the weekend students will be introduced to their Wicked Problem, a self-selected complex business issue that affects the student personally or professionally, which they work to solve throughout the duration of the MBA program.
