The AACSB-accredited College of Business at Florida State University develops intelligent, ethical, and qualified business leaders who are ready to positively impact society. The values of engagement, integrity, excellence, and community are reflected in all of the curriculum and degree programs.

Established in 1950, the College of Business has grown to enroll over 6,000 students and graduate over 70,000 alumni to date. Legacy Hall will become the new home of the College of Business in 2021 and is an $88 million, 218,392 gross square feet facility.

Education

Undergraduate students can major in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Professional Sales, Real Estate, Retail Management, or Risk Management/Insurance. Graduate students can receive a Master in Accounting, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, and Business Administration. The MBA offers specializations in Business Analytics, Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, and Risk Management and Insurance with two track options:  Financial Planning or Risk Management. Doctoral students can earn a Ph.D. in Business Administration in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Organizational Behavior & Human Resources, Strategy, Finance, Marketing, or Risk Management & Insurance. Two combined pathways are also offered to help students obtain their bachelors and masters degrees in lesser time: Bachelor in Accounting/Master of Accounting and Bachelor in Real Estate/Master in Finance.

Studying abroad is a great advantage for students to gain a pertinent global perspective. Through the College of Business Global Exchange, students can spend a semester or a year studying in places like China, Germany, Netherlands, South Korea, Finland, France, or Spain. The Internship Programs Office helps students find specific local, national, or international internships related to their degree path. Many scholarships are available to every type of business student, including the College of Business Endowed Scholarship, College of Business Board of Governors Scholarship, National & International Scholarships and Fellowships (Honors Program), and the State Farm Doctoral Dissertation Award.

Student Life

Many clubs exist for business students to get involved in, including the American Marketing Association, Association of Latino Professionals for America, Consulting Group, National Association of Black Accountants, Real Estate Society, Sales Club, Securities Society, Society for Human Resource Management, Women in Business, MBA Student Association, and Doctoral Business Student Association. An excellent resource for students to enrich their education is the Academic Center for Excellence. This center provides peer study sessions, tutoring, study rooms, academic consultations, study tools, workshops, and resources to assist students in a successful educational experience. Also, the Local Business Shadowing Program connects the College of Business students with local businesses to meet with and learn from professionals and participate in their day-to-day operations.

The College of Business offers flexible and convenient 100% online graduate degree programs including the Master in Management Information Systems, Master in Risk Management & Insurance, and the MBA with specializations in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Risk Management & Insurance with a Financial Planning Track and a Risk Management Track, and Real Estate.
