The reputable School of Business at the University of Kansas holds AACSB accreditation and is an esteemed member of the Association of American Universities. U.S. News and World Report ranks the business school 44th among public universities and 62nd among all national universities. Employers recognize the value in a UK business degree. Education

Undergraduate program majors include Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Management and Leadership, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. Students also have the ability to add a co-major in International Business, or a minor in Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, or International Business. To further refine their studies, students can also select a concentration in Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management. Certificates in Entrepreneurship, Professional Selling Program, or the Jack Lockton Certificate in Insurance and Risk Management can enhance a student’s resume.

Graduate students obtain a Full-Time MBA, MBA for Working Professionals, Master of Accounting, or a Master of Science in Business and Organizational Leadership. The Full-Time MBA program consists of three semesters and a required summer internship that can be completed in 16 months. Students enrolled in the MBA for Working Professionals will attend classes two nights per week at the KU campus in Kansas City. Military officers stationed at Fort Leavenworth can also earn a Master of Science in Business with a concentration in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. The highly selective Ph.D. in Business program admits six or seven new students annually. Students in this program select an area of study in Accounting, Finance, Decision Sciences and Supply Chain Management, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, or Strategic Management. All Ph.D. students receive full tuition and fee payment in exchange for research or teaching assistantships or fellowships.

Student Life

The School of Business serves a diverse and growing student body of more than 2,500 students. Undergraduate students can find several special programs to get involved with. The Applied Portfolio Management program features weekly lectures from over 175 top executives and Wall Street professionals, and students raise funds for the School of Business through real investments. Students in the Jack Dicus Business Honors Program are invited to attend special events, complete service projects, conduct research, and participate in experiential learning opportunities and study abroad.

A $3,000 scholarship is awarded to students in the highly competitive Business Leadership Program. Acceptance to this program is based on ACT/SAT scores and GPA. Students in this program will receive individualized coaching sessions, work collaboratively on group projects, attend networking events, create a leadership plan, and compete in case competitions. Jennett Finance Scholars earn a $2,000 scholarship and are groomed for careers in the financial industry through visits to financial institutions, seminars, and networking opportunities.

Online Programs

The online MBA can be completed in two years. Students customize their degree with a focus in Finance, Management and Leadership, or Marketing. U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks this program among the Top 20 Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans.
