American Military University

American Military University/American Public University is an online institution founded in 1991 as a member school of the American Public University system (a privately held organization not affiliated with the US government). The university offers associates, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in over 100 fields of study. Originally designed for military personnel, the school includes a significant civilian population. The university comprises the following schools: arts and humanities, business, education, health sciences, science, technology, engineering, and math, security and global studies and graduate studies. The course schedules are rolling – courses start monthly and last 8-16 weeks – to fit any schedule; classes are asynchronous so the student can log in and submit work at their convenience.
