Being the only university located in the heart of the city of Boston, the Sawyer Business School of Suffolk University is in the midst of a dynamic financial business area. This location gives the school an excellent opportunity to integrate the knowledge gained in the classroom with learning from local business leaders and companies. A global perspective is of the utmost importance and is interlaced throughout every degree program. The entrepreneur, Frank Sawyer’s goal of “providing access to quality education in a supportive environment,” is what the curriculum is founded upon. The Business School has come a very long way from its beginning in 1937 and now has over 3,000 students enrolled and holds an AACSB accreditation.

There are a plethora of degree paths for undergraduate students. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration has many majors for students to pursue including Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Global Business, Business Economics, Information Systems, Management, Financial Wealth Management, Marketing, Big Data & Business Analytics, and Finance. There are Global Travel Seminars, study abroad trips, international internships, and Suffolk even has a campus location in Madrid, Spain. These all help to expand the students’ global perspective. In serving the public, students can become a Sawyer Ambassador or offer education opportunities to the Boston Police Department and Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts. There are many networking events to attend to broaden connections with alumni, entrepreneurs, and business leaders, both locally and globally. For further development, students have many different programs and options, including the Career Development Center, Peer Mentoring Program, The Office of Student Leadership & Involvement, and Honors Programs.

The Living Learning Community allows students the advantage of living with other business students.
