Creighton University is a private, coeducational Catholic and Jesuit comprehensive university. Located in Omaha, Nebraska, Creighton is one of twenty-eight Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. Academic Programs
Creighton University is accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and offers a variety of baccalaureate, graduate and professional programs. Crieghton’s more than 100 academic programs, degrees and majors are offered through multiple schools and colleges, including the College of Arts and Sciences; Heider College of Business; College of Nursing; College of Professional Studies; Graduate School; School of Dentistry; School of Law; School of Medicine; and the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.Numerous opportunities for research projects exist at Creighton and students are encouraged to pursue ideas and discoveries at any stage in their education. Faculty and staff members seek to foster a collaborative environment where students can work side by side with their professors. Creighton also offers degrees through a number of flexible approaches including on-campus, online, accelerated, and hybrid programs. Student Life
More than 8,000 students are enrolled at Creighton, including just over 4,000 undergraduates. The majority of students live on campus in residence halls and apartments, or in Creighton’s unique living and learning communities which offer an immersive experience where students learn, play and grow within a close-knit group of students. For students who choose to live off campus, Omaha boasts a low cost of living, approximately 6.5% below the national average with goods and services as much as 11% below the national average, making off-campus living highly affordable for adult, graduate, and professional students.Creighton boasts several student-led organizations and clubs that cater to a wide variety of interests, beliefs, and cultures. Greek life also has a strong presence on campus with at least five fraternities and seven sororities. Creighton’s student activity centers include the Skutt Student Center, the Kiewit and Rasmussen Fitness Centers, and the Lied Education Center for the Arts which hosts music and dance events and where theatre and visual arts students may showcase their work. Creighton’s varsity team athletes compete at the NCAA Division I level and the school is a member of the Big East Conference.
