Education

At the University of Sioux Falls, there is a business degree to meet educational goals from associate’s to master’s degrees. The Associate’s of Arts in Business Administration sets a great groundwork for further studies with courses like Principles of Accounting, Business Law, and Fundamentals of Communication. Students seeking a bachelor’s degree have both three and four-year options. The three-year options are available with majors in Accounting & Business or Entrepreneurial Studies. Additionally, there is a one year MBA in Organizational Leadership that makes a great add on and allows students to complete both their undergraduate and graduate degrees in only four years. Traditional four-year plans include Bachelor’s of Arts in Entrepreneurial Studies, Sport Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or Professional Accounting & Business Administration. MBA’s can be earned online or on-campus and are offered on a full-time or part-time basis.

Student Life

The Vucurevich School of Business includes a unique area called the Idealab. This area is used to host all entrepreneurial studies classes and includes an 80-inch TV with webcam, Node Chairs, and Ideapaint. These resources are utilized to provide students with an opportunity to participate in hands-on learning, discussions, and collaboration with peers. There are three clubs and organizations on campus-specific to the study of business. These include Coo Tycoons Investment Club, Phi Beta Lambda, and the National Society for Leadership and Success. NSLS is one of the most notable leadership honor societies in the United States. Members of this organization are prepared to lead in both academics and the workforce. If certain criteria are met, students may qualify for specialized scholarships and also have the ability to include their participation on their resume. Once full membership is attained, it is a lifelong membership that does not expire after graduation. There are many on-campus leadership opportunities outside of the business programs as well. A few of these include student government, campus ministries, orientation leadership, or becoming a student admissions ambassador.

Online Programs

Individuals looking to earn their Master’s of Business Administration can complete their degree online in 21 months on a part-time basis through the Vucurevich School of Business. The program is geared towards working professionals with established careers, and it offers concentrations in Healthcare, Business Innovation and Marketing, or Management. Undergraduate business students can also earn an online degree in Accounting, Business, or Health Administration.
