Rollins College is a private, four-year coeducational institution and comprehensive liberal arts college. Nationally recognized for its distinctive undergraduate and selected graduate programs, Rollins College, located in Winter Park, Florida, was the first recognized college in the state. The school was established in 1885 by New England Congregationalists with the mission to bring their style of a liberal arts education to the Florida frontier. Located on the banks of Lake Virginia, Rollin’s beautiful 70-acre campus features a distinctive Spanish-Mediterranean architecture and has been named the Most Beautiful College Campus by the Princeton Review. Just north of Orlando, Rollins College is adjacent to the first-class dining shopping, and entertainment options of Winter Park’s famous Park Avenue.

Academic Programs

Accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1927, Rollins College is made up of three colleges and schools. The College of Arts & Sciences and Professional Studies offers traditional full-time, residential programs; the College of Professional Studies combines traditional liberal arts courses with classes devoted to specialized topics and professional training; the Hamilton Holt School provides evening bachelor’s and master’s degree programs designed especially for busy adults; and the Cammer Graduate School of Business offers an MBA, Executive Doctorate, and continued education programs. Rollins offers approximately 35 undergraduate majors in a variety of areas and several graduate degrees including Applied Behavior Analysis and Clinical Science; Business Administration; Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Graduate Education; Health Services Administration; Human Resources; Liberal Studies; and Public Health. The school’s special programs include an Accelerated Management Program, a Duel Degree Program, and an Honors Program, along with several others.

Approximately 60% of students study abroad through dozens of opportunities offered through Rollins’ Office of International programs, including semester programs, faculty-led summer programs, and faculty-led short-term field studies during winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Student Life

Rollins’ student body is made up of over 3,000 students, more than 2,000 of which are undergraduates. Rollins boasts over 100 student-led organizations and clubs, ranging from social and cultural to service, special interest, and honorary groups. A number of fraternities and sororities also exist on Rollins’ campus. Nearly twenty residential halls provide housing for students and campus attractions include a lakeside beach and lakeside walking path. Several programs and initiatives are available for students to become involved with, including Community Engagement Courses, Bonner Leaders Program, Democracy Project, and Non-Profit Internships. These and much more help create Rollins College’s rich living and learning environment.

An NCAA Division-II school, Rollin is also a member of the Sunshine State Conference and sponsors over 20 varsity teams and boasts nine athletic facilities. Playing under the colors of blue and gold and nicknamed the “Tars”, Rollin’s athletic department boasts over twenty National Championship wins and nearly 70 Sunshine State Conference championships.
