Park University is a private, independent, non-profit private institution based out of Parkville, Missouri. Established in 1875 Park University originally began as a religiously-affiliated college. Known as Park College and founded by John A. McAfee, the initial concept was for students to earn their tuition and board in exchange for working on college’s farm, in the electrical shop or printing plant. Today, Park University has grown to be a comprehensive master-level university and is one of the top providers of education courses for the United States military. Park University operates 40 campuses around the U.S. and offers several courses and programs online.

Academic Programs

Park University is accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and has been so since 1913. The University’s mission is to provide “access to a quality higher education experience that prepares a diverse community of learners to think critically, communicate effectively, demonstrate a global perspective and engage in lifelong learning and service to others.” The core values which govern Park University’s decisions and actions are Accountability; Civility and Respect; Excellence; Global Citizenship; Inclusivity; and Integrity.

More than 60 degrees ranging from associates to graduate-level are offered at Park University through its awarding-winning colleges: the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; the International Center for Music; the School of Business; the School for Education; and the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. More than two dozen online bachelor degree programs and nearly 10 online graduate degrees are also offered, as well as several certification programs. Park University also offers a number of blended courses which supplement a portion of traditional face-to-face classroom time with online instruction and activities.
