Milligan College is a Christian liberal arts college that “seeks to honor God by educating men and women to be servant‑leaders.” Three core values of faith, scholarship, and community build the foundation for learning and living at Milligan. The College is consistently recognized among the best in the region by U.S. News and World Report, and it carries regional accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. With a history of leading education for 150 years, it is no surprise that they offer more than 100 majors, pre-professional programs, adult-specific degrees, and a variety of graduate degrees.

Education

As a candidate for ACBSP accreditation, the Greene Jr. School of Business and Technology strives to provide the most up to date educational experiences possible. Degrees can be completed in Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or Mechanical Engineering. Within the Business Administration program, students can major in several areas such as Legal Studies, Management, Sport Management, Health Sector Management, and International Business.

Student Life

The student body at Milligan College is quite diverse with students from 30 nations and 35 states across the U.S. Eighty-five percent of those enrolled choose to live on campus, which includes 11 residence hall options, as well as a set of student apartments. The opportunities to get involved are numerous and varied. Clubs include Alpha Psi, Civic Band, Multicultural Engagement Committee, and the National Society for Leadership and Success. Many intramural teams play fun games throughout the year, such as Ultimate Frisbee, Softball, Spike Ball, Flag Football, Basketball, and Ping-Pong. The Campus Activities Board plans additional activities throughout the semester. Trips, dances, musical events, and movie nights are just a few of the offerings. All students are encouraged to join a small group in order to grow their connection with peers. Groups meet for Bible studies, prayer groups, men’ s/women’s studies, accountability partners, and couples groups. Sunday evenings are designated for Vespers, a student-led worship service. This time is used for teaching, learning, and fellowship.

The campus is located in beautiful northeastern Tennessee, just a short drive from local restaurants, movie theatres, shopping, and more. The atmosphere also lends itself to many outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, and biking. Twenty-six intercollegiate sports teams also make staying active fun and easy. In the past decade, Milligan has won 60 NAIA tournament appearances and won 50 conference titles in Football, Cycling, Dance, Swimming, Tennis, Cross-Country, and more.
