Malone University is a private, 4-year school located in Canton, OH, across the highway from the NFL Hall of Fame. The school was founded in 1892 in Cleveland as Cleveland Bible College; in 1957 it relocated to Canton and was renamed Malone College in honor of its founders Walter and Emma Malone and it reached University status in 2008. The school has maintained a close relationship with the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). The 100 acre campus features multiple quads and plenty of open spaces; the buildings are a traditional red brick collegiate architecture with little visual enhancement (in keeping with the plain traditions of the Quakers). Among notable alumni is Olympic gold medalist Timothy Mack.
