Education

Undergraduates can study for the online Bachelors in Management with optional specializations in Entrepreneurship and Leadership. Those who have begun an Associates degree from California Community Colleges and desire a Bachelors degree qualify to take part in the “direct transfer pathway” and receive guaranteed admission and transfer of credits. Graduate students can obtain an online Masters in Business Administration with specializations in Finance, Strategic Management, Health Care, Human Resources, Management, Information Technology, or Sales Management. JFKU offers a large variety of options for financial assistance that is accessible to business students through federal aid, grants, loans, and scholarships.

There are scholarships and grants to reward academic achievement, assist with financial need, honor veterans, or other need-based and merit-based qualifications. A few of the many scholarships available include the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship for veterans, Alumni Referral Scholarship, JFKU Partnership Scholarship, and the Seneca Family of Agencies Scholarship.

Student Life

Students need more than just academic challenges and growth within the coursework. They need extra educational assistance, career guidance, experiential learning, and service opportunities. The Academic Support Office provides virtual assistance and virtual appointments for online students. This office offers personal academic advisement, guidance for which classes to take and how to register, access to University resources, and is available for any questions students have about the educational pathway to graduation. The Writing Center is also accessible to online students assisting with writing projects, research papers, how to study, how to manage time, and the writing process as a whole from beginning to end. Online students can receive career preparation through the Career Support Office. They offer workshops, career fairs, career assessment, resume preparation, connections with alumni, job boards, networking, and other online resources. As the University believes in “Education for Change,” it helps students find internships that boost resumes and provide hands-on experience in real-world scenarios that prepare students for professional success. The Engaged Service Learning Program provides experiential learning opportunities for online students that involve service to their community while meeting the 30-hour requirement.

Online Programs

All of the business programs are only offered entirely online through the University’s FlexCourseâ„  Online Platform. This innovative format gives students an unlimited amount of access to classes, sessions, e-books, textbooks, and educational videos on-demand, at any time. Students schedule tests and exams when convenient and work through the coursework at their own pace. Professors and staff members are accessible and provide personal, one-on-one attention for every student.
