
Online learning at York County Community College is designed to provide students with an independent learning environment on their schedule and at their convenience. Typical assignments are meted out weekly and the student accesses the program and submits work at their convenience (subject to deadlines). A self-assessment quiz is available to determine suitability and benefits of online education are discussed briefly on the welcome page. Links provide specific information for each program including description, potential next steps and requirements. Online associate’s degrees are available in behavioral health studies, gerontology, information technology and liberal studies. Most degree programs are career-focused with the option for transfer; liberal studies is designed as a transfer degree. York also offers online certificate programs. All online students are provided with a designated online success coach to act as support and liaison for any needs or challenges encountered by the student.
