
Distance learning has been a feature of the University of North Dakota since 1911 with its correspondence courses. Today, UND offers dozens of degree programs and hundreds of individual courses completely online. Bachelor’s degree majors include engineering, communications, cyber security, medical laboratory science, nursing, psychology and social sciences. Master’s programs include economics, engineering, MBA, education, cyber security, nursing, psychology, healthcare and social sciences. In addition, the university offers a robust doctoral program as well as certificates and professional development courses. A robust suite of student support is available; guidance for taking proctored exams, academic tutoring and tech support are easily accessed by the remote student; “one-stop student services” is the portal for a wide range of assistance from tuition and aid to a FAQ section with how-to guides and forms.
