The Distance Education department at Texas A&M University oversees the online offerings of the school. The course content is identical to residential programs and holds the same accreditation status. Graduates are welcomed into the “Aggie family” like all other students. The university offers master’s level degrees in agricultural, wildlife and natural resources, engineering, geosciences, public service, healthcare, nursing, mathematics & statistics and law. Texas A&M also offers doctorates in agriculture and education. Online student services available to distance education participants include referrals for academic assistance, disability services, international student services, counseling and a veteran’s support center. The university strives to offer as many benefits of a residential college experience as possible to distance education students; the robust online presence shows the results of that effort.
