Rider University is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian university. With a vision to be known as a premier, forward-looking university, Rider is “committed to student growth, transformation and leadership” and strives to “prepare graduates to thrive professionally and to be lifelong independent learners and responsible citizens who embrace diversity, support the common good, and contribute meaningfully to the changing world in which they live and work.” Rider offers a number of online bachelor and master degrees and certificates in a variety of areas. These include (but are not limited to) allied health studies, nursing, business administration, psychology, athletic leadership, STEM, accountancy, communication, and organizational leadership. Offered through the Canvas learning management system (LMS), Rider’s online courses are instructor-led (rather than self-paced) and require students to complete projects and assignments during specific time periods throughout the term.
