National University was founded in 1971 by retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. David Chigos with the adult student in mind, with a particular bent toward military personnel. Dozens of degrees programs are available through the following departments: teaching & education, business & marketing, healthcare & nursing, social sciences & psychology, engineering & technology, criminal justice & law, arts & humanities and science & math. The school features bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as associates and certificate programs, delivered using the latest technology to provide dynamic, interactive learning environments, online and on demand. Tuition discounts and scholarships are available to veterans and their dependents; and their veteran center is available to assist students with the transition into civilian life. Quality, access, relevance, accelerated pace, affordability, and community are the core values that shape National University.
