“Let you education meet you where you are.” The distance learning department of Naropa University welcomes visitors with a friendly, informative webpage outlining low-residency and online programs. Starting with an introductory self-assessment survey and a ‘best practices’ handbook, the team helps to set student on a path of success. The school focuses on inward processing in meditation, discussion and grappling with one’s own nature and perspective as a learning methodology; contemplative education is the term used for the format blending eastern wisdom studies and western scholarship into rigorous academics. Combined with experiential learning, the student is nourished academically on multiple levels. Low-residency programs include ecopsychology and creative writing and several individual classes are administered online as well. Academic support including advising and writing are available.
