Luzerne County Community College (LCCC), a public two-year college founded in 1966, has been educating students via online distance education since the early 2000s. LCCC’s Distance Education offers a number of programs and courses which consist of at least 80% online content, providing individuals with greater freedom and flexibility in pursuing their educational goals and career. Both Associates of Science and Associate of Applied Science degree programs are offered as well as several certificate program options. Areas of study include (though are not limited to) multiple areas of business, computer information systems, criminal justice and more. Prospective students are able to view a demo class on the College’s website to help determine whether or not distance education is a viable option for them.
