LFCC online is the host for distance education at Lord Fairfax Community College. Starting with an introductory link page, the “you and online learning” link takes you to an information page covering the definitions, descriptions and components of online learning including hardware and connection requirements and a self-assessment survey to confirm suitability. LFCC participates with NC-SARA for interstate reciprocity for distance education programs. Online programs include business administration, education, general studies and liberal arts; LFCC has existing articulation agreements with many four-year institutions to ease transfer to a bachelor’s degree program upon completion of the associate’s degree. Student support services and resources dedicated to online students include online advising, comprehensive FAQ page, technical support for the online delivery program and library access. Additional resources are available including career guidance.
