Rooted in the Hebraist-Zionist movement in the late 19th century, Hebrew College maintains a deep commitment to the Hebrew language as the conveyor of Jewish culture as well as the primary link between the state of Israel and Jews around the world. English is the primary language of education at the college, but Hebrew instruction is a vital portion of the advanced curriculum. Using the content delivery platform Schoology, Hebrew College has offered online degrees since 2000. The interface is ‘social media-like” and is intuitive for the users. Instructor-student interaction is very important to the learning programs. Hebrew College offers online graduate programs in Jewish education, Jewish liberal studies and Jewish studies. There are online certificate programs as well. Resources and student support are available for online students as well as traditional student.
