Catholic Distance University was established in 1983 specifically as a distance education institution. As technology advanced, CDU leveraged new methods to deliver educational content to a wider group of students. The “about” webpage offers detailed information about the technical requirements for online learning and support for Canvas (the content delivery system) as well as library access, description of group courses and structure of classes. Online undergraduate degree programs include theology completion program, liberal arts and an accelerated masters of arts. Graduate degrees offered online are in theology and educational ministry. CDU also offers undergraduate, graduate-level and continuing education certificates online. Student resources and support are administered under the student portal ‘MyCDU’ where links to various resources are housed.
