“Exciting, accessible, and convenient” is how Carl Sandburg College describes its online learning offerings. Providing access to non-traditional student who are unable to attend on-campus classes, Carl Sandburg College allows students to reach educational goals while maintaining their current schedule. Instructor-led courses are capped at a maximum capacity allowing for greater interaction between teacher, student and peers; asynchronous course material allows flexibility of schedule to complete assignments. Carl Sandburg College offers an associate in arts degree which features a cooperative element in that, if a particular course isn’t offered online at Sandberg, students can take the course at a partner school’s online department through Illinois Community Colleges Online. Carl Sandburg College also maintains articulation agreements for ease of transfer into a bachelor’s degree program with over 100 institutions in Illinois.
