The Center for Regional and Continuing Education at California State University, Chico oversees all distance & online learning programs for the school. The distance program has been available for 40 years (first via regional microwave link); online programs have been offered for over 20 years. Online bachelor’s degree programs are available in liberal studies, religious studies, sociology and social science with available concentrations. Additionally, a master’s degree in nursing and a certificate program are available online. After a screening questionnaire, steps are presented for application, admission and financial aid as well as an academic advisor to help guide the way. Enrolled students have access to technical support to get them set up, the student network and necessary accesses to the bookstore, library and other important support services and resources.
