
Allen Community College offers two-year degree programs and certificates completely online and “university-parallel.” Virtual students share the same resources like the library and writing center; the advantage is that all courses and resources are used at the student’s discretion and schedule. Associates degrees are available in agriculture, biology, business administration, chemistry, communications, criminal justice, education, graphic design, healthcare, information technology, mathematics, music, pharmacy tech, physics, political science, production media, psychology, sociology and preparative studies for engineering, nursing and veterinary medicine. Students have access to the MyAllen portal for general information and communication. Online students have specific resources including technical support, library access, writing lab, a robust FAQ page and the online student resource center – a locally hosted network of specific resources. There is also the student support technician team under the academic support team dedicated to assisting online students succeed with their college career.
