Williams College of Business at Xavier University is a nationally recognized AACSB accredited business school, with a stellar reputation for going above and beyond to educate students and the community through Jesuit principles. Williams is repeatedly named among the Best Business Schools in the Nation by the Princeton Review. The Executive MBA is ranked 20th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, and 50th globally by CEO Magazine. Additionally, U.S. News and World Report ranks the part-time MBA 60th in the nation, and highly ranks several of the MBA specializations among the top 25 in the nation, including Finance, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Accounting, Supply Chain/Logistics, and Management. Within six months of graduation, the College reports that 98% of students are employed, volunteering, or pursuing higher education.

Education

Undergraduate majors are offered in Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Entrepreneurial Studies, Finance, Information Systems, International Business, Management, Marketing, Strategic Human Resources Management, and Sustainability: Economics and Management. The Smith Scholars program is available for students interested in pursuing a more rigorous curriculum. In this program, learning opportunities extend beyond the classroom, with a fully funded global travel trip and a financial center trip to New York. Students in this program will also engage in scholarly research, have exclusive access to study lounges, share a residence hall, and receive priority registration.

Graduate students have four on-campus Master of Business Administration options, as well as a Master of Science in Accountancy or Customer Analytics. MBA students can select a concentration in General Business, Business Intelligence, Finance, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Marketing, Pricing Strategy, Supply Chain Management, or Values-Based Leadership. Students in the part-time MBA will attend classes twice a week in either the evening or on the weekend and can graduate in two or three years. The Full-time MBA is a rigorous day program, referred to as Emerging Leaders, and can be completed in one year. An MBA program is also offered off-campus, in West Chester. The Executive MBA features international residencies in Bangkok and Singapore.

Student Life

Students can work alongside community members at one of the eight Centers for Excellence, such as the Center for Customer Analytics, Center for International Business, and Center for Pricing Point. The Fifth Third Trading Center features Bloomberg LP financial software, student-managed equity funds, a speaker series, and the Bellwether, and a student ran financial magazine. There are 15 business organizations, including Business Leaders for Tomorrow, Sports Business Club, TEDx Xavier, and Women in Business. Students can also attend workshops on applications for 3D printing, Business Executives Meet and Greet sessions, company visits, networking events, and panel discussions. Internships and study abroad programs can round out a student’s extracurricular experiences.

Online Programs

The online MBA is a 100% distance program and can be completed part-time in two or three years. Students seeking an incredible hands-on experience may choose to complete a global immersion trip. A required component of the program is the Global Strategic Thinking Capstone course. In this course, students will analyze cases, and present on current business issues. This program offers multiple start dates throughout the year.
