Student Life

A trademark feature of the business program is cooperative learning experiences. These are semester-long assignments, consisting of 10 hours per week, designed to prepare students for real-world business careers. Students can also participate in service-learning projects, helping the community with their newly learned business acumen. The Business Honor Society, Sigma Beta Delta, and many other student organizations keep students engaged outside of the classroom. Study abroad programs are offered in China and Spain. Students receive discounted prices for these trips graciously sponsored by the New Castle Chamber of Commerce.

Online Programs

For the convenience of students, all programs can also be completed fully online. U.S. News and World Report recently ranked the online bachelor’s degree programs 3rd in the region. Online students are taught the same rigorous curriculum by the same professors as on-campus students and have access to support services, such as advising, tutoring, and the library. Courses start approximately every other month, making it easy for students to begin their education at the time that is right for them. Students who live near one of the many regional campuses may also choose to pursue the hybrid route, with a combination of in-class and online courses around their busy schedules.
