
The College of Business, Humanities, and Social Sciences at West Virginia University Institute of Technology provides some of the best humanistic and liberal programs found in today’s universities and colleges. Education
There are fifteen undergraduate degrees, fifteen minors, and one certificate program currently available at the school for bachelor students. Under the supervision of an advisor, the Interdisciplinary Studies program allows students to design a program of their choice and earn an undergraduate degree. The Regents BA program has been designed to meet the needs of working adults and recognizes academic credits for prior academic experience and work- or career-related experience. Student Life
Student organizations are directed by faculty advisors, linked to an academic major, and affiliated with respected professional societies facilitate interaction among students, instructors, and industrial/professional leaders at the business school. Students live active lives, so the University offers more than 30 student organizations.
Online Programs
The business school’s Bachelor of Science in Marketing is designed to prepare students for successful careers as marketing professionals in this constantly evolving industry. Every course of the program emphasizes “learning by doing” and offers hands-on, real-world activities to give distance learners the skills they need. An online Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management, delivered by the College of Business, Humanities, and Social Sciences, will equip students for careers in hotel and restaurant operations, event planning, hospitality, tourism, and more.
