
The ACBSP-accredited Dahl School of Business at Viterbo University offers high-quality business programs, including Bachelors and Masters degrees, degree-completion, and minors. A combination of the liberal arts and business education full of business theory, practice, and research and professional development programs all work together to help challenge and strategically prepare students for career success. Education
Throughout the degree programs, students acquire essential knowledge; abilities; and leadership, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Dedicated faculty bring principles, wisdom, expertise, and experience to the educational process. The Bachelors in Business Administration program offers majors in Business Administration, Management & Leadership, Accounting, Health Care & Wellness Management, Finance, and Sport Management & Leadership. An option to save time in completion of both an undergraduate and graduate degree exists in the 4+1 BBA/MBA program to be completed in just five years.
Graduate studies consist of two degree programs: Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Servant Leadership. The on-campus MBA offers optional areas of emphasis in Ethical Leadership, Nonprofit Leadership, Accounting, Health Care Management, Project Management, and Marketing. Dahl also provides Graduate Certificates in Health Care Management and Ethical Leadership in Organizations.
Friends of the Dahl SoB provide generous scholarships for business students in financial need. This aid includes the Marv & Annette Friedewald Business Scholarship, the Glendenning Family Scholarship, the Jessica Simon Abnet Endowed Scholarship, and the Russell & Vera Smith Foundation, which offers scholarships for undergraduate and MBA students.
Study abroad allows business students to experience independence, a different culture, and new adventures. They can earn class credit and even travel with a faculty member to study business for a few weeks in South Africa, China, Spain, Italy, Belize, and England. There are also countless opportunities to spend a semester or a year studying in a plethora of different countries.
Student Life
Student organizations help give business students opportunities to engage with peers, get involved in activities, professionally and personally grow, and even help others. Groups include Enactus, Community Wellness Club, Breaking Barriers Diversity Club, United Nations of Viterbo, College Democrats, Global Outreach Club, and the Society for Human Resource Management. Leadership groups include the Student Government Association, Student Activities Board, and the National Society of Leadership & Success.
Experiential learning and personal interaction in a professional environment are critical components of successful business education. These elements are accomplished through real-world projects with real clients, the Mentorship Program connects students with a local business leader, the Finance Simulation Laboratory, hosting professional speakers on-campus, the Center for Professional Learning & Development, site-visits, and internships. With Dahl’s professional connections in the community, students find and are guaranteed a paid internship opportunity.
Online Programs
Online offerings include the eight-week, fully online Bachelors Degree-Completion programs in Health Care Management, Accounting, and Business Leadership. There is also a fully online MBA in Health Care Leadership.
