Education

At Utica, hands-on learning experiences play a vital role in the curriculum. Meaningful internships, service opportunities, and experiential learning opportunities are all a part of what makes their programs stand out. The Cybersecurity program offered through the School of Business and Justice Studies was recently designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. They have also earned recognition as a “National Center of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence (CDFAE) by the Defense Cyber Crime Center and an Academic Center of Excellence (ACE) by the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council), the world’s largest cybersecurity technical certification body.” Top programs also include areas of study such as Business Management, Sports Management, and Health Care Management. Graduate students have three MBA options in Economic Crime and Fraud Management, General Management, or Professional Accountancy. A Master’s of Science in Accounting and Master’s of Healthcare Administration are also offered.

Student Life

The School of Business and Justice Studies provides both online and on-campus degree programs. Online students follow the same rigorous curriculum as traditional students but with built-in flexibility. Distance learners can participate in on-campus activities and are also offered additional technical support 24/7. The University’s main campus is located on 128 acres in New York’s Mohawk Valley. Students will appreciate the ground’s unique blend of expansive green space and state-of-the-art buildings and resources. The Center for Student Success provides individualized support through financial aid counseling, access to learning services, tutoring, and success coaching.

Online Programs

Utica College’s blended MBA allows busy professionals to learn either on-campus, online, or both. Students gain immediate access to recorded lectures, online courses, and class resources. Live sessions allow both traditional and virtual participants to take their learning to the next level. But the hybrid format is flexible enough that if a session is missed, it can easily be made up through the online platform at any time. The MBA core was created with today’s business environment in mind. Courses include Financial Fluency, Principles and Practices of Leadership, Data-Driven Decision-Making, and Strategy. Specialization options are equally relevant, with choices like Cyber Policy, Health Care Management, or Insurance & Risk Management. Practical and relevant skills are integrated throughout the program, making sure to utilize student’s time in the most efficient way possible.
