
The Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University was named so immediately following Utah Valley acquiring its university status in the mid-2010s. In 2015, the business school’s overall enrollment sat just over 700, while today over 1,110 students seek degrees at the award-winning center for business training. The business school is currently working on the construction of its Scott C. Keller Building, which will house many of its classes and resources once it is completed.
Education
Degree programs like associate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs are featured at Woodbury. Students can also find associate degrees and certificate programs. Over half of the programs currently pursued at the business school are undergraduate degrees while associate programs come in at a distant second place. An impressive business accreditation backs degrees offered by the business school through the AACSB-International. Noteworthy programs from the Woodbury School of Business include its dynamic MBA, Master of Financial Planning and Analytics, and Master of Accountancy.
Student Life
The Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University features a vibrant student life department with activities of all kinds for students. Some examples of ways students of all levels can take advantage of these opportunities include Opportunity Quest, which is an activity available to all students across the university’s campus. Opportunity Quest allows students to create, formulate, and present business concepts to a panel of accomplished entrepreneur judges in hopes of winning cash prizes and notoriety. The business school will also be offering a free session with a professional photographer so students can receive a headshot they may then upload to their LinkedIn and Handshake profiles.
Resume Café is one of the Woodbury School of Business’ most popular student activities as the business school provides students with pastries during brunch hours and offers free access to career counselors who will help review, revise, and bolster a student’s resume. While the student enrollment of the business school may keep everyone from personally knowing everyone else there, the Woodbury School of Business makes strides to keep staff connected to the student body with activities like Nachos with Norm. Nachos with Norm is an opportunity for students to meet with Dean Norm Wright and enjoy lunch while networking with the dean, other students, and business school faculty.
Online Programs
Students wishing to pursue an online program at Utah Valley University’s business school have several options to choose from. Certificates in Accounting and a Six Sigma Green Belt, Certificate of Proficiency. Associate degrees administered by the Woodbury School of Business include an Associate in Science in Business, a Business Management degree, and a pre-major in Business. An undergraduate degree offered through an online format is a Business Management degree with concentrations in General Business, Hospitality Management, and International Business.
