
The School of Management at the University of Wisconsin-Stout offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, specializations, certifications, and executive education programs. Education
On-campus undergraduate coursework leads to a Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, Construction, Business Administration with an optional concentration in Supply Chain Management, and Fashion & Retail with concentrations in Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design & Development, and Retail Analytics. Business minors include Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Quality Management, and Investments & Finance.
On-campus graduate studies include two degrees. First is the Masters in Operations & Supply Chain Management offers concentrations in Industry Occupation Safety & Hygiene, Project Management, SAP ERP Business Analytics, Engineering Technology Management, Operations Management, and Quality Management. Second, there is a Masters in Risk Control & Safety Management.
“Take your education abroad!” UW-Stout provides faculty-led, national student exchange, exchange, direct enroll, and internship/co-op opportunities in a wide array of countries. Business students can spend a few weeks, a semester, or even a year studying in places like the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Costa Rica, Greece, Italy, Australia, Ireland, Budapest, Spain, and South Korea.
Student Life
Participation in student organizations offers a wealth of benefits like social connection, skills development, competitions, hands-on learning experiences, and interaction with professionals. Business-related student-led groups include WEAR Fashion Association, Stout Retail Association, APICS, American Marketing Association, Student Construction Association, Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Club Managers Association of America, Entrepreneurship Club, Financial Wellness Club, Packaging Association, Institute of Real Estate Management, and Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.
It is highly encouraged and sometimes required of UW-Stout business students to complete an internship or co-op experience. It is very beneficial to the development of the student and impressive to employers. Some of the companies students have interned with, and obtained jobs at are US Bank, Harley Davidson, Abbott, Medtronic, 3M, Target Corporation, and Honeywell.
Entrepreneurship is at the heart of the School of Management, and its concepts are encouraged throughout business studies. Faculty and students share expertise across campus to collaborate, create, design, and implement new business ideas. Some of the entrepreneurship-related resources and events include the Discovery Center, 3DayStartup, FabLab, Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament, the Made@Stout mark, and the Center for Innovation & Development.
Online Programs
The School of Management has a substantial online presence with its numerous fully online degree and certificate offerings. The online Bachelors in Management degree completion program offers eight concentrations, including Business Management, Risk Control & Safety Management, Facilities Operation Management, and Quality Management. Online Masters degree programs are in Operations & Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Management, Construction Management, Risk Control & Safety Management, and Training & HR Development. Also, online Professional Certificates in Training Design, Institutional Research, Development & Evaluation, Organizational Development & Consulting, and Human Resources are available.
