The University of Texas at Austin is well-respected for its quality of education in many areas of study. Their business programs are AACSB accredited and listed in the Top 5 with numerous business education ranking systems such as US News and World Report, QS World University, Princeton Review, and more. UT Austin has earned the distinction of being a Tier One Research Institution. Their dedication can be seen in the creation of new knowledge through the process of research and analysis.

McCombs S.o.B. faculty rank within the Top 15 for research productivity. The business programs encourage diversity, with half of the undergraduate business students being women and nearly 50% of students participating in study abroad programs. Students can count on their University peers even after graduation with an expansive alumni network with more than 30 chapters spanning 12 countries.

Education

Students of Texas McCombs can expect an elite educational experience. There are 177 full-time faculty and International stars within all academic departments. Eight members of the University’s Academy of Distinguished Teachers are also a part of this exceptional team. There are ten majors for the Bachelor’s of Business Administration program at UT Austin. A few of these include Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Science and Technology Management.

An Integrated Master’s in Professional Accounting can also be earned in five years. Graduates who earn this degree will have a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, as well as a Master’s in Professional Accounting. This program has been ranked at the top of US News and World Report for many years. Other master’s degrees available are MBA, EMBA, or MPA. Master’s of Science choices include Finance, Health Care Transformation, Business Analytics, IT Management, Marketing, Technology Commercialization, and Energy Management.

Student Life

Life at the University of Texas at Austin is filled with many possibilities. The surrounding city provides many outlets for activities for every interest. On-campus students can enjoy museums, historical libraries, an aquatic center, sports arenas, an expansive recreation complex, and even a live music venue. More than 1,000 student organizations give students a variety of options when it comes to finding a community on campus. Several of the unique club options are Figure Skating Club, Alternative Breaks-Student Chapter, Beekeeping Society, and Bhakti Yoga Club.

Online Programs

Distance learners can complete business foundations courses through the University Extension Program. Students can complete their work either through self-paced modules or a semester-based format. The Self-Paced option can be started at any time and allows students to work through their courses at their own pace while getting feedback from professors. In the Semester-Based courses, students watch lectures, do online activities, and complete reading assignments. Work is turned in with due dates and deadlines, making it a great option for those who cannot attend traditional classes but prefer structured learning.
