The mission of the College of Business and Health Administration is to “prepare professionally competent and ethically responsible graduates for management and professional positions in business or health-related fields.” USF students compete in a business simulation capstone each semester are consistently successful against teams from notable business programs from universities like Duke, Rutgers, Penn State, and Notre Dame. The College of Business and Health Administration is divided into three distinct program areas, the School of Business, School of Health Administration, and the School of Professional Studies. This branching allows students to receive the services they need specifically based on their area of study. Several bridge and dual degrees can be obtained, which allow students to crossover between the schools to earn degrees like a Master’s of Science in Health Administration to Master’s of Business Administration.

Education

On-campus undergraduate business students have the opportunity to choose from nine majors in relevant areas of study such as Entrepreneurship, International Business, Management, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting. Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration or Health Care Management can be earned through online adult degree programs. The BSBA includes majors in Management and Leadership, Managing Human Resources, Marketing, Transportation Logistics, and Entrepreneurship. Those interested in Healthcare Management can specialize in Data Science, Leadership, Management of Long-Term Care, Population Health, or Quality Improvement of Healthcare. The University carries regional accreditation through The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the business programs are recognized among the best the ACBSP and U.S. News and World Report.

Student Life

The Student Life Office holds many events and coordinates a variety of clubs, organizations, and activities for both new and existing students. A few of the clubs of interest to business students include Acceleration Club for Entrepreneurs, Student Business Association, and the International Club. Student Alumni Mentoring is a program designed to bring students and alumni together. This is particularly beneficial to business students as it matches participants with those in similar occupations and fields of study providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and valuable insight into the workforce. The Wellness Center and Counseling Centers provide students with free resources to maintain both their physical and mental health.

Online Programs

The University of St. Francis has been leading the way for online learning in Illinois for the last 20 years. U.S. News and World Report recently ranked USF among the Best Online Graduate Business Programs, Online Graduate Education Programs, and Online MBA’s. The Master’s of Business Administration degree can be completed online or on-campus and offers specializations in Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, Human Resource Management, and more. Other online graduate degrees include Master’s of Science in Management or Training and Development. The MS in Training and Development is exclusively online and includes concentrations in areas like Health Administration, Human Resource Management, Instructional Design in Online Learning, or Self-Design.
