It is highly beneficial for students to diversify their educational experience by studying at different academic institutions across our country and internationally. The National Student Exchange allows students to spend one or two semesters at a member school in numerous cities in the US, including Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Business students can also spend a break, semester, and even a full year studying in a variety of different countries all over the world.

Student Life

Incoming first-year students can experience the Business Connection’s Learning Community, where they build relationships with fellow business majors and work together as a team to put on a special event. This is a great opportunity to start building teamwork and leadership skills from the start of their educational journey. They can also join with other levels of students to expand knowledge and leadership skills within student organizations. Groups include the Management Information Systems Society, International Business Club, Financial Management Association, Collegiate DECA, Beta Alpha Psi, 1st Generation Club, Economics Club, Beta Gamma Sigma, and the American Marketing Association.

Students can represent the LSB and develop leadership skills and professional connections through Student Ambassadors and the LSB International Ambassadors, which takes students to London. The Executive Mentorship Experience provides mentors from companies like Bank of America, PepsiCo Las Vegas, Harrah’s, Merrill Lynch, Southern Nevada Water Authority, Wynn, and MGM.

Lee’s Career and Professional Development Office provides services and resources for both current students and alumni. Here they can find assistance with interview prep, resumes and cover letters, researching careers, finding internships and jobs, skills workshops, networking events, and career exploration. Internships are highly encouraged and offer incredible hands-on experience, professional development, and opportunities to explore different fields of study.
