The University of Nebraska-Omaha’s College of Business Administration attracts students for countless reasons. CBA is one of just a handful of schools in the nation to hold dual AACSB accreditation in business and accounting. Military Times also ranks CBA 1st in the country for military veterans. Students can count on affordable tuition and the lowest tuition in fees in eastern Nebraska. Over $755,000 in scholarships are awarded annually specifically for business students. Mammel Hall, opened in 2010, features smart classrooms equipped with the latest technology to deliver presentations, learning labs for investment science, innovation and entrepreneurship, executive decision making and technology. Students can study in lounge areas, breakout rooms, or in the student-operated coffee shop. Omaha is also home to many innovative start-ups, as well as four Fortune 500 companies, which gives students a wide range of internship opportunities to choose from. Upon graduation, 90 percent of CBA grads find employment in Omaha.

MBA students can select a concentration in Business Analytics, Business Technology, Collaboration Science, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, Investment Science, Risk Management, Supply Chain Management, or Sustainability. A Master’s of Accounting and a Master’s of Science/Arts in Economics is offered as well, with multiple concentrations to prepare students for successful careers.

Student Life

Learning extends well beyond the classroom for CBA students. Undergraduate and graduate students can participate in a 10-day international opportunity of a lifetime study abroad trip to destinations such as Italy, India, China, Belgium, Costa Rica, and Australia. The internship program frequently leads to permanent employment, with 70 percent of interns receiving job offers. Students in the Maverick Investment Program can also apply their knowledge in the classroom to the real world by creating and managing portfolios. Warren Buffet and other top industry leaders have visited campus to share their expertise with students. Students are also taught to use their business skills to enrich the community through the Center for Economic Education, which provides economics lessons to K-12 students, and the Nebraska Business Center which offers guidance for small business owners.
