The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Business has over 100 years of experience in educating business leaders and is accredited by the AACSB. Around 4,400 students find their home in the new $84 million, 240,000 square-foot Howard L. Hawks Hall, which offers a high-tech, spacious, advantageous learning environment. Education

There is approximately $550,000 in business college scholarships available to qualifying students. With financial assistance, more students can pursue one of the Bachelors degrees in either Agribusiness, International Business, Accountancy, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or Finance. Any student in any major can seek an undergraduate certificate in Sales Excellence. Those going after a graduate degree can earn a Masters in Economics, Survey Research & Methodology, Accountancy, Intercollegiate Athletics Administration (MAIAA), Actuarial Science, or the FlexMBA. The Nebraska Business Honors Academy provides a higher level of academic prowess for those who are highly motivated. Doctoral students can pursue a Ph.D. in Management, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or Finance. Also, every student has the opportunity to immerse themselves in an international culture through business study abroad trips to countries like Brazil, Costa Rica, France, Malaysia, Senegal, Guyana, Spain, Panama, and Japan.

Student Life

We need others. This truth carries into a student’s path to education, careers, and overall life successes. Academically, the CoB provides excellent resources through advising, writing assistance, math guides, free peer tutoring, study help, degree requirements, classes, questions about majors, and much more. The Business Career Center aids students in the developmental process to professionalism and career readiness through career coaching, career fairs, career exploration trips, finding credible internships, and even searching for jobs. They also provide networking opportunities and face time with business professionals. Being involved and engaged academically, physically, and socially is not hard, being that there are numerous opportunities for just that. Student organizations for business majors include Big Red Investment Club, Civitas Consulting, Sales Club, Agri-Marketing Association, Economics Graduate Student Association, Sports Business Association, Beta Alpha Psi, Business International Student Association, Undergraduate Women in Business, and Nebraska Supply Chain Club. Students can find collaborative learning opportunities through the different centers and institutes the CoB has to offer, especially the Center for Entrepreneurship, Center for Sales Excellence, and the Clifton Strengths Institute, which assesses, invests and builds upon the strengths unique to each student.

Online Programs

The CoB offers the flexibility, accessibility, and convenience of online graduate degrees. This helps any working professional, world traveler, or obligated caretaker earn a degree of higher education. Graduate students can pursue an online Masters in Business Analytics, MBA@Nebraska, Masters in Finance, or a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management or Business Analytics.
