The ACBSP-accredited School of Business at the University of Mobile strives to equip and prepare graduates to enter the competitive and challenging business world and succeed confidently. It has created a Christ-centered educational program that offers foundational business knowledge, leadership training, and practical application. Highly qualified faculty offer understanding, experience, and support, while the local business community provides numerous experiential learning opportunities. The SoB produces seven undergraduate, two adult, and two graduate business programs with various tracks to choose from within the degree programs. 

Education

Undergraduate studies consist of a Bachelors in Computer Information Systems, Management, Accounting, Software Development, Business Administration, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Digital Media & Advertising. Accounting students can choose the Corporate/Nonprofit or Public Accounting track. Business Administration students can pursue a track in Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management. Students in either Accounting or Business Administration can also choose the Integrated 5-Year MBA track. Graduate students have access to an on-campus Masters in Business Administration degree program.   

Working adults can earn a degree through the Adult Bachelors in Business Administration – Management Track program or the Adult Bachelors in Accounting – Public Track program. Classes are offered during the day or night to accommodate those with adult responsibilities. 

The University has worked hard to increase the number of study abroad opportunities it provides for students. Through the Global Engagement Office, business students can join a study abroad trip to many different places around the world and gain a global perspective vital to success as a business professional. 

Student Life

Students find great academic and career-oriented support through the Student Success Center. Resources provided include tutoring, academic coaching, career preparation, job postings, volunteer opportunities, and collaborative projects with business professionals. Student organizations like the Accounting Students Organization and Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, provide numerous opportunities for leadership development, learning opportunities, social connections, and professional preparation.  

It is incredible for business students to practically apply what they are learning through the student-run Good Work Agency. It helps establish an online presence for organizations that do ‘good works’ like churches, small businesses, and nonprofits. Students gain priceless experience through graphic design, web development, consulting, and social media and communications strategies. 

Student Life organizes over 200 events per year for students like concerts, movie nights, intramural sports, tailgates, and missions. Within Student Life, the University Ministries provides chapel services, worship experiences, on-campus discipleship, service opportunities. Students can spend one day in Mobile, a weekend in local cities, and even a week in a major US city serving others through several University ministry programs. They can also spend three weeks experiencing discipleship and meeting people from all over the world through Youth Hostel Missions to places in Europe, India, and the UK/Ireland.  

Online Programs

The Adult Bachelors in Business Administration, Management Track degree program can be completed entirely online. To help provide flexibility and accessibility for graduate students, the SoB offers an MBA and a Masters in Leadership & Communication entirely online, as well.
