The College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis holds dual accreditation from the AACSB in business and accounting. UMSL is the leader of business programs within the region and is the only university in the nation with headquarters for a Fortune 25 corporation located on-campus. Additionally, two alumni serve as Fortune 25 corporation CEOs. The $20 million Anheuser-Busch Hall offers everything a business student could dream of: a Trading Room with 12 Bloomberg terminals and a stock ticker, a million-dollar tiered classroom, and a two-story Executive Education Room. Students receive the finest business school education in truly luxurious C-suite style accommodations. Education
Undergraduate students have an opportunity to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Systems and Technology, or a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. BSBA students can earn their degree in General Business, or select an emphasis in Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management & Analytics. Among the many unique minors are Digital Marketing Communications, Transportation Studies, and Cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity program has actually been designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. Beginning in fall 2019 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs will also be offered in cybersecurity.
The Professional MBA offers a 7-10 day international business trip. The International MBA is ideal for students interested in pursuing a more in-depth international business experience. Students within this program will complete a one-year international business internship. Specialized master’s degrees are also offered in Accounting and Information Systems. The Doctor of Business Administration consists of courses one weekend per month. DBA students can also select an emphasis in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Executive students looking to advance their careers can earn a Society for Human Resource Management Certificate, Project Management Professional certificate, or a Digital Marketing certificate.
Student Life
Over 2,800 business students contribute to the growing and vibrant business community at UMSL. Students are encouraged to complete internships as an additional way to enhance their studies. The business school’s internship program is one of the largest on campus. Students who are also interested in becoming an entrepreneur can participate in the highly competitive UM Entrepreneurial Scholars Internship program. In addition to work experience, students are also mentored by business executives and receive funding to launch their start-ups.
Online Programs
The CBA offers an online undergraduate degree in Business Administration, along with several undergraduate certificate programs. MBA degrees are offered in three distinct formats; the Flex MBA, International MBA, and Professional MBA. Classes are available online, in the evenings, and on weekends to accommodate the needs of full-time professionals. A hybrid DBA is available where students are required to make three weekend campus trips per term.
