The AACSB-accredited C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston attracts high-caliber, world-renowned faculty members who bring an immense amount of industry experience, innovative perspective, and creativity into every classroom. This fosters an atmosphere of engagement, motivation, extensive learning, strategic thinking, and transformation. Graduates are empowered to lead and impact the workforce in Houston and beyond.

Education

To help finance an undergraduate degree, all enrolled Bauer students are eligible for Bauer Undergraduate Business Scholarships and can apply for the Houston Treasury Management Association and Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation Scholarships. Bauer offers a Bachelors in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship, Management & Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Accountancy & Taxation, Marketing, Finance, or Management Information Systems. The Bauer in D.C. Fellowship takes undergraduates to Washington, D.C., for about three months, to study and receive class credit while growing professionally. They can also take their educational pursuits abroad and study in Spain, China, Croatia, Dubai-India, and even spend a semester at sea.  

The flexible Professional MBA, rigorous Full-time MBA, and cohort-based Executive MBA equip students to be confident and successful leaders and managers in a wide range of industries. Graduate students can also pursue a specialized Masters degree in Business Analytics, Global Energy Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Accountancy, Finance, or Management Information Systems. They can also gain incredible international business exposure by studying abroad in places like Berlin, Chile, Dubai-India, and Beijing.

The Ph.D. program develops “stewards of the discipline.” Doctoral students experience engagement, mentorship, and collaboration in their research and academic endeavors. They can pursue a Ph.D. in Finance, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Management & Leadership, or Marketing.  

Student Life

An excellent way for students to engage with peers, experience learning, compete, and reach out to the community is through the many student-led organizations Bauer has to offer. These groups include the Investment Banking Scholars Club, Beta Alpha Psi, Bauer Ambassadors, Global Brigades, Women’s Society, Enactus, Fashion & Business, Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Bauer MBA Society, and the Graduate Real Estate Club.

Bauer is nestled amongst the multicultural “energy capital of the world,” hosting every type of business, from startups to headquarters of over twenty-five Fortune 500 companies. Students have immense access to experience learning through internships, hands-on experiences, and real-world projects. Bauer students learn and do all the steps necessary to manage and invest in the multi-million dollar Cougar Investment Fund and the Cougar Venture Fund. The RED Labs, tech startup accelerator, provides resources, mentors, and workspace for entrepreneurial ideas. In the SURE program, students provide free entrepreneurial business consulting and education to veterans and underprivileged communities. Students can also experience learning through the ten centers and institutes provided by Bauer that help serve the local business community.   

Online Programs

Bauer graduate students can access a Masters in Management & Leadership degree entirely online. This 36-hour degree program is flexible, convenient, and prepares students for success.
